We Won a Surface Design Award!

Last week we won an award at the Surface Design Awards for our BrecciaSphere Lite system!

We are very proud to announce that we are the winners of the Surface of the Year (Interior) award! It is a great honour to receive this award and be recognised for our innovative design and sustainability for our BrecciaSphere Lite resin flooring system. The creation of this system was to bring a truly sustainable resin floor surface to the market, and this has been incredibly successful.

For clients wanting the look of a fine grained terrazzo, but with the benefits of a seamless, poured resin floor, the BrecciaSphere Lite system is perfect. Resin flooring has the advantages of being soft and warm underfoot, with or without underfloor heating. Combined with a faster installation time than traditional terrazzo, the BrecciaSphere Lite system is a fantastic option for clients looking for both a beautiful and sustainable floor.

Sphere8 has prided itself on sustainability credentials since its inception, with our resin being procured from castor beans - a renewable resource. This sustainable bio-polymer resin requires less energy and with no harmless emissions, compared to other epoxy resins made from petrochemicals. The BrecciaSphere Lite system was created with sustainability at its forefront. Containing on average one 1-litre recycled plastic bottle per square meter, this flooring system helps to reduce the single use plastic problem.
