The creation of a new Design Gallery…

Those clients who have visited our showroom in West London will be familiar with our dockside site – straddling the Grand Union Canal. However, those who visited us in the White Building are yet to see our new contemporary Design Gallery in the wharf building over the bridge – a small but crucial change in the sales experience.

The White Building

Previously Senso UK occupied the White Building – an impressive double-fronted façade that hosted both our offices and showroom, as well as disparate members of the Tom Dixon crew. Our dramatic entrance hall and the various rooms on the ground floor showed off our diverse floor finishes, whilst the kitchen and offices at the back overlooked the canal and were ideal for a coffee with clients or a long working lunch with colleagues.

New partnerships

Since then we have developed a much closer relationship with Tom Dixon and his team that share our space – leading to more integrated showroom space. In August 2015 the entire Sphere8 team pulled together to move our office from the White Building to the Lodge, and relocate the showroom to the canal-side arches of the wharf. Found in a converted Victorian Wharf building as part of an urban regeneration project by Derwent London, the original brick arches and beamed ceilings have been preserved and combined with an exclusive display of the full Tom Dixon collection of furniture and lighting in the shop.

We are thrilled to also share the space with the Dock Kitchen – an eclectic and experimental kitchen, with an ever-changing menu based on what is in season, what far flung place any of the chefs have visited, or what new ingredient they have come across abroad or at home.

A new design focus

With this new location came a shift in focus – we believe in complementing architectural features in how the space is used; uniting form and function. As such our Sphere8 Design Gallery has a more intimate atmosphere. Rather than a showroom space to wander through, we encourage the chance to sit down with a specialist sales consultant to discuss your project in detail. We offer a full colour consultation, examples of our various finishes and a range of samples and literature to take away.

Our Sphere8 floors flow seamlessly through the arches and continue in the Tom Dixon Shop. You can see a different floor finish in the Dock Kitchen and for even more diversity they continue in our offices and throughout the Tom Dixon offices in the White Building. Plenty of chance to see what we’re about and our floors in a real-life situation, put to use every day!

Most importantly, we are so pleased that we now officially share our Design Gallery and the arches with Tom Dixon, who represents the true diversity and eclecticism of British interior design. Sphere8 prides itself on being a uniquely design-focused resin flooring specialist, so the new Design Gallery perfectly reflects this. Call today to arrange an appointment and see for yourself – just make sure you leave enough time for a browse of the shop and a quick lunch upstairs!
