EPI Superbase Gusto is a terrazzo style resin floor, designed to give a sophisticated Italian style without the environmental impact of traditional terrazzo.

Gusto utilises polyurethane resin made from castor oil to create a long-lasting resin floor without the environmental impact of petrochemicals, found in epoxy resin. Not only does the use of polyurethane resin help reduce the environmental impact, but the mimicking of traditional terrazzo helps make this a much more conscious choice. Traditional terrazzo uses a base of concrete, which is known to be one of the most energy intensive materials in the world, meaning that any floor utilising this material will have a large carbon footprint.

Gusto utilises a blend of marble and pearl aggregate to create visual interest and texture in the floor. There are two different aggregate sizes and mixes, which gives a different look to the floor. Fino is a fine aggregate mix embedded into the resin that is designed to give a wider coverage with the smaller pieces. The Fino mix also has lighter-coloured aggregate which creates a slightly more subtle terrazzo effect. The Mezzo mix is made of slightly larger aggregates than Fino and utilises some darker coloured aggregates to create depth. The use of the darker aggregates in this mix helps to create impact, which works especially on lighter coloured resin bases - such as Gusto Mezzo Fennai. The larger aggregate is slightly more spaced out, which gives a bigger impact and makes the resin base more noticeable in the floor.

EPI Superbase Gusto is suitable for both commercial and residential spaces, meaning it can be the perfect option for any project. In residential spaces it can make a great statement floor, or work seamlessly with other areas but still adding some great visual interest into the space. For commercial spaces, which traditional terrazzo is seen more often in, it creates an amazing seamless alternative to terrazzo tiles but still gives the impact a space needs.
