Sustainable resin flooring

With an ever increasing global demand for more sustainable products on the global market, at Sphere8 we are driven to produce high end, designer seamless resin flooring that limits its impact on the environment as far as possible.

From the very start of Sphere8 we opted to use an environmentally friendly alternative to polished concrete and epoxy resin - polyurethane resin. Polished concrete has become increasingly popular in residential and commercial projects since the 2000s yet its exhaustive impact on the environment must be questioned at this pivotal time in global climate discussions. One of the main advantages of Sphere8 flooring is we are able to successfully emulate polished concrete but with significant reductions in carbon emissions. Since our resin is derived from plant oils, it is an inherently sustainable plant based material.

Then the idea to incorporate an increasingly sustainable flooring system took off within the business. Here, our BrecciaSphere Lite system came into production. This unique system incorporates 100% recycled plastic shred into the flooring finish - giving you even greater peace of mind that your new floor is helping to combat the most prominent global problem - plastic!

Equally important as the sustainability of the finished product is the proper disposal of waste generated by each installation. Through ensuring the proper recycling and waste disposal we have been able to successfully divert over 98% of our waste from landfill since 2021.
