Sphere8 is a Finalist for a Surface Design Award!

We are proud to announce that we are finalists for the Surface of the Year (Interior) at the Surface Design Awards!

Our BrecciaSphere Lite system has been recognised for the Surface of the Year (Interior) award, which we are incredibly proud of! This system is an innovative development, created to provide a truly sustainable resin flooring surface. 

The BrecciaSphere Lite system offers a fine grained terrazzo effect, with a faster installation time and lower carbon footprint than other flooring options, such as polished concrete. This poured floor incorporates recycled plastic bottle shred which floats to the surface, creating a texture that emulates a polished concrete effect. With additional options of a Solid or Motion effect, BrecciaSphere Lite creates a personalised surface, perfect for a residential or commercial project.

While the BrecciaSphere Lite surface is innovative, it was also created to showcase how resin flooring can be sustainable.

Our resin is procured from castor beans, an intrinsically renewable resource, rather than petrochemicals which require more energy and release harmful emissions. BrecciaSphere Lite incorporates on average one 1-litre plastic bottle per square metre of flooring, with this surface helping to reduce the single use plastic problem! 

We are incredibly happy to be nominated as finalists for Surface of the Year (Interior), and recognised for our BrecciaSphere Lite system. Sphere8 are consistently developing systems to improve our sustainability credentials, as well as innovative surfaces to enhance interior spaces. To be finalists alongside amazing surfaces and companies is an honour. We are very proud of our BrecciaSphere Lite system, look out in February for the awards ceremony!
