High foot traffic areas, such as museums, require practical and stylish flooring options to match the environment. Sphere8 offers seamless resin flooring to meet client’s designs and specifications, and durability to last through the many visitors a museum receives! This blog post will draw upon previous projects featuring museum flooring, and the best possible options for this environment.

For clients wanting complete design freedom on their floor, we created the DesignSphere system. With the ability to have any design upon your floor, this is a favourite of clients looking for a specific pattern or artwork. Featuring an innovative mesh layer that can be laid into our floors, creating a seamless design across the floor. This layer is sealed with a resin top coat, reducing the likelihood of damage from regular use. Within a museum, there is of course high footfall, and regular cleaning. Therefore, this system is designed to withstand this, and maintain its durability for peace of mind of the longevity of the floor!

Depending on the museum, there can be areas where a lot of light reaches. The Sphere8 DesignSphere system has accounted for this issue, and to ensure your design does not fade in the sun, both the graphic and the resin itself is UV-stable. This attention to detail enables a DesignSphere floor to be used in spaces with lots of light, and a far reduced risk of damaging the design over the years.

Finally, for a previous installation, a topical or relevant image to the museum was displayed on the floor using the DesignSphere system. This inclusion into the floor creates an all-encompassing museum experience, and greatly enhances the experience. The seamless nature of Sphere8 resin floors makes the design easily viewable, as there are no seams or joins to break up the design, and decreases spaces for dirt to accumulate - helping to keep the museum sparkling clean for all visitors!

Another excellent Sphere8 option for museum flooring is our ToughSphere system. Specifically designed to withstand high traffic areas, frequent cleaning and with a grip-enhanced seal coat, this system is the perfect choice for museum environments. Able to incorporate durability, practicality and style, a ToughSphere floor has all the main elements required for flooring. Additionally, this system is available in our curated colour collection, with custom colours available. Sphere8 offers museum flooring to match the space and atmosphere.
